A BME Model United Nations Konferencia egy egyedülálló lehetőség a nemzetközi hallgatók számára. Célja, hogy a delegáltak és a résztvevők fejlesszék az interkulturális párbeszédet, kapcsolatokat teremtsenek és felismerjék a világbeli felelősségüket, hogy globális közreműködésükkel maradandót alkossanak a jövő számára.

A konferencia:

A BME Model UN az ENSZ egy háromnapos nemzetközi párbeszéd szimulációja egyetemisták és középiskolások számára, melyben a diákok delegáltként, bizottságokat formálva modellezik az Egyesült Nemzetek Szervezetét. A diákok a képviselők, kabinetek és testületek szerepébe bújva tapasztalják meg a nemzetközi politikai munkásságot és probléma megoldást.

A konferencia fókuszpontjában a következő témák kapnak kiemelt hangsúlyt:

• Az Elektronikus hulladékgazdálkodás
• A hiperinfláció helyzete a Venezuelai Bolivári Köztársaságban
• A Kashmirí Indiai-Pakisztáni konfliktus

A konferencián a témák bizottságok szintjén kerülnek megtárgyalásra, melyekben minden hallgató találkozhat saját érdeklődési körével.

Regisztrálni delegáltként, vezető bizottság tagként, vagy nemzetközi sajtótagként lehet.

Dear Students!

BME Model United Nations or BMEMUN is a 3 Day international relations simulation of the United Nations for high school and University students, hosted by the renowned Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The mission is to build relationships beyond courtrooms, facilitate learning and to develop intercultural dialogue, to make students understand the world around them, that their contribution as a global citizen is a must for a greater tomorrow.

The conference:

The Model UN Conference is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically roleplay delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees, which is generally organized by a MUN club or the school or a University. Here, Students take on the roles of UN representatives and members of other international bodies and national cabinets and learn about the workings of international politics and problem-solving.

At BMEMUN 2019, each delegate will be assigned a particular committee in a simulation of the United Nations or another international body to gain better insight into the subtleties of international affairs. Each committee in BMEMUN will be discussing pertinent global issues such as:

• Promoting the Responsible Disposal of Electronic and Hazardous Waste
• Combating the situation of hyperinflation in The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
• Conflict in Kashmir

At BMEMUN you can participate/apply as a Delegate, a member of the Executive Board or as a member of the International Press.
